William J. Sharp
December 19, 1960 – January 26, 2025

It is with great sadness that the Soo Bahk Do community & the Spotsylvania SBD family shares the passing of William Sharp, Sam Dan. Mr. Sharp, a Soo Bahk Do practitioner for decades, was a student & instructor at Spotsylvania Do Jang. He believed martial artists should also be scholars & practice Moo Do values inside & outside the Do Jang. “This is critical in order to be our best selves”. Soo Bahk Do’s 10th article of faith, ‘always finish what you start,’ held special meaning to him.
Many of our students have learned & prepared with Mr. Sharp. They share memories of his kindness, sense of humor & comfortable demeanor. He brought his love of life, his best self & Moo Do values into everything he did. An avid photographer, he would use his photographic skills to capture the images of our school’s events & students. Many of the pictures on our website are from his talent. Our condolences go out to his family as he will be very missed by all of us that trained beside him. (Photo by Samantha Sharp)
